Children's Worker for Small East London Charity

Every week we host an after school club for children aged 4-11. This small group provides a safe space for the children in our community, many of whom face challenges in their lives. Each week we run a new art or craft projects, play games, bake or cook food. The children learn, play and grow together in this supportive environment.

You will be involved in planning, preparing and assisting the delivery of the sessions. When you arrive you will help set up for the session, support the children in their activities when they arrive and help clear up when the session is finished.

We need volunteers to commit every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5pm, (club running 4pm-5pm). If you can commit for a number of months, this is particularly helpful, as we like to provide some consistency for the children.

A DBS is not required.

No pre-training, but support and teaching will be given as needed at the sessions.

The Garden Cafe, E163DJ

Travel expenses provided if required.

No formal qualifications required. Previous work with children is helpful, but not necessary. We would love to have someone who is happy to get their hands stuck in and get involved.

Our closest station is Prince Regent DLR, just 5 minutes walk from the community cafe. We are also on bus routes 147, 300 and 473. We have no parking at the cafe, but if required we can arrange parking at the local church.
